Geena has arrived downunder for the filming of “Accidents Happen”, and The Sydney Morning Herald reports:
Davis, who won an Oscar for her role in The Accidental Tourist and picked up the world’s most attractive hitchhiker (played by an unknown actor named Brad Pitt) in Thelma & Louise, is in Sydney filming Accidents Happen. It’s a directorial debut for Andrew Lancaster, whose short film In Search Of Mike won the Flickerfest best film prize in 2002. Anthony Anderson, best known for Somersault, is the producer.
Davis plays the potty-mouthed mother of an accident-prone teenage son. “I think it’s probably the most foul-mouthed mother we’ve seen on screen. I get paid to swear,” she said.

Geena has signed up for a new movie, the details are available for pro IMDb-users. A source tells us:
Geena will play Mrs. Conway in Accidents Happen, due out in 2009.
“15 year old Billy Conway has been an accident magnet since he was a kid. When he and his best friend cause an almighty crash with a bowling ball and a moving car, Billy must face up to his family’s history and learn that sometimes someone is to blame and that sometimes… well, accidents just happen.”
From AFM/American Film Market:
“15-year-old Billy Conway believes that the world is a dangerous place and that accidents can happen at any time. His strongly held belief is based on bitter experience – from a very young age Billy has found himself inexplicably drawn to extremes of injury and misadventure. Billy’s story is the surprising tale of how a good boy’s bad behaviour might just manage to save his very dysfunctional family.”
