UK: More4 takes Commander in Chief

Original story by Jonathan Webdale for C21Media.net, 28 Feb 2006

Channel 4 has picked up second-run UK rights to Commander in Chief for broadcast on its adult-skewing diginet More4. Fellow Disney company Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) has sold the series to More4 as a replacement for The West Wing, which comes to an end later this year. BVITV’s first UK deal for the series, which ABC pulled from its schedule earlier this year in favour of new comedy Sons & Daughters, was with Disney-owned ABC1.

Under the terms of that deal, ABC1 will give Commander in Chief its UK premiere in April and has a six-month window of exclusivity after which More4 will air the series, probably in primetime.

Leading Lady

Original story by Michael Idato for The Sydney Morning Herald, February 27, 2006

Yet another article from downunder, this time a fairly detailed article/interview about CinC, the plot, the changes that Bochco brought along and of course the usual mentioning of the speculations around the show’s “agenda”. Original story by Scott Ellis for The Sydney Morning Herald, February 26, 2006

Another article in connection with the opening of CinC on the Seven Network (Australia/New Zealand); this one elaborates over the often speculated “agenda” of the show: did they write it to make way for Hilary or even Condoleezza? And how about Geena – is she considering running for president herself?

New affiliate, Tootsie section

I’ve added another fansite affiliate; an amazing site in honour of Michelle Pfeiffer! The webmistress gave me several ideas on how to set up the different pages; the first proof of this is the new page for the movie Tootsie (the actors’ portraits, to be excact). The Tootsie section will be added to tomorrow – screencaps and better portraits are coming right up!

And speaking of Tootsie; I’ve been fortunate to “adopt” the fanlisting for this movie; if you were registered already I can assure you that the members will be restored shortly – if you weren’t, well, what’s keeping you from joining? ;)
